NSFAS — National Student Financial Aid Scheme

South Africa's biggest funder of first-year and continuing students at public universities and TVET colleges. Covers tuition, accommodation, transport and living allowances based on a means test.
Eligibility: South African citizens and permanent residents studying or applying to study at a public university or TVET college who meet the means-test threshold (combined household income under R350 000 per year).

Allan Gray Orbis Foundation
The Fellowship funds high-achieving Grade 12 learners at partner schools with boarding, tuition and mentoring. The University Scholarship continues support at university with mentoring, study funding and an entrepreneurship programme.
